WHAT TO DO IN SEPTEMBER
AT CIAMPAC
In September in Val di Fassa there is still a world to discover! Here are some ideas to enjoy the beautiful days of early autumn:
- EXCURSIONS AT HIGH ALTITUDE: the mountain changes continuously and every month you can see different panoramas of infinite beauty. That’s why in our opinion an excursion along the Ciampac ridges in September, at the beginning of autumn, is an experience not to be missed! The same goes for the Col Bel tour and for the side valleys reachable from Ciampac such as Val de Grepa, Val Contrin and Val Jumela.
- HIKE & BIKE: a truly original offer available until September 15th. What is it? A circular tour, also suitable for families, that allows you to combine a panoramic walk on the ridges from Buffaure to Ciampac, the use of the lifts and the return by bike along the Val di Fassa cycle path that runs along the Avisio river.
- THEMATIC ROUTES: what better occasion than in September, when the mountain is synonymous with peace and tranquility, to try the sensory experience of “Out of the Box“? A sensory path at high altitude, unique and innovative, to experience the mountain slowly, enjoying every single moment. Thanks to the use of some cards that will guide you along the stages of the path, you will be able to live a truly engaging experience, focusing on your five senses. Then there are the thematic routes for children, excellent to combine sport and fun, such as “The marmot trail”, “On the tracks of Ciampy” and “Driver at Ciampac”.
- WORKS OF ART: once you reach the 2428 meters of Sella Brunech you will find nine thrones and benches all to try. The artist Marco Nones has in fact created real works of art that make the panoramic point Sella Brunech even more evocative. From the thrones for a checkered tan, to the VIP area with the chaise longue, to the bench for lovers and all the others that you can discover with your own eyes by taking the Roseal-Giumela chairlift.
- MOUNTAIN HUTS: to make a day at high altitude even more unforgettable and experience the local tradition at 360 degrees, a stop at a mountain hut for a Ladin lunch or a delicious snack is a must. In the Ciampac basin you will find four mountain refuges where you can taste Ladin and Trentino delicacies and treat yourself to a piece of strudel or a delicious slice of cake. Directly at the arrival of the cable car you will find the Rifugio Crepa Neigra, with a wonderful terrace overlooking the Sella Group. Near the playground Ciampark, instead, there is Baita Valeruz, a recently renovated hut with a glass window overlooking Piz Boè that will make your lunch truly unique. Then there is the Rifugio Ciampac and, a little bit further, the Rifugio Tobià del Giagher where you can spend the night. Both offer a wide range of local products and typical dishes, as well as game specialties.
- EVENTS NOT TO BE MISSED: one of the last two events of the season will be held on Saturday 7 September at Col Bel for “I Suoni delle Dolomiti“. The duo composed by Vicki Powell and Clarissa Bevilacqua will perform in a spectacular location, with an incomparable view of the most beautiful Dolomite peaks of Val di Fassa. While on Sunday 15 September there will be the end of season party, especially dedicated to the little ones. Music, games, face painting, shows with giant bubbles and much more! For the occasion a discounted rate of € 10.00 will be applied for everyone for the round trip by cable car (children under 8 are free).
