trentino ski sunrise

4th march 2025

The first rays of sunshine that illuminate the Dolomite peaks, the authentic flavors of a 100% Val di Fassa breakfast, the noise of the ski bindings engaging, the emotion of the edges that plow the freshly groomed slope: you too will be able to experience it and leave your mark on the Sella Brunech!

The appointment is for Tuesday 4 March 2025, at the cable car station, which is exceptionally open for the occasion. Once you reach an altitude of 2,000 metres, you will go up again by chairlift, until you reach the most panoramic point from which to admire the sunrise: Sella Brunech, with a view of Catinaccio, Marmolada and the Sella Group.

SCHEDULE

5.35 am – Meet at the station of the new Ciampac cable car, in Alba di Canazei. Set your alarm and watch out for punctuality, the cable car will have an exceptional ride for us!

Going up you will be able to admire the valley, with its illuminated villages and we will begin to see the Dolomite peaks surrounding Alba di Canazei. And as we go up, the enchantment multiplies, because we are about to reach an exceptional panoramic balcony! But we don’t stop here: we go up with the Sella Brunech chairlift to reach a place where the view expands to 360 degrees.

We arrive at Sella Brunech! Let’s breathe the fresh morning air and take a few moments to look around: the Sella, the Sassolungo, the Marmolada, all the Dolomites come to life with the first rays of the sun. The ski instructors of the Canazei School show us the peaks, telling us their characteristics and also some curiosities. It’s a great start to the day, especially for the ladies, to whom this #trentinoskisunrise is dedicated in particular.

And then…time to ski down! Let’s put on our boots and go, the Sella Brunech red slope is all for us! The ski instructors accompany us and give us valuable advice. The skiers slalom on the red slope, leaving their mark: fun is guaranteed!

It’s time for breakfast! At the Crepa Neigra mountain refuge we discover the most genuine products of Val di Fassa and Trentino. An excellent breakfast will allow us to enjoy Fassa cheeses and cured meats, but also local honey and jams, homemade yoghurt and cakes, fresh milk, eggs and apples from Trentino.

Full of energy, the more experienced can also venture along the Ciampac Black Run. Otherwise we can return back to Alba di Canazei by cable car.
